The aim of this qualification is to equip learners with the necessary skills to engage with the body of knowledge as well as the application of that knowledge. It prepares learners for advanced Graduate studies that would contribute to their ability to do research within the specialisation fields as well as entering professions in the Natural Science sector. These fields include Actuarial Sciences, Applied Mathematics Chemistry, Entomology, Food Science, Genetics, Geography, Geology, Geohydrology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Microbial Biochemical Food Biotechnology, Physics, Plant Sciences, Soil Science, Statistics and Zoology. Furthermore, the qualification aims to deepen scientific knowledge and skills related to the specialisation areas.

The purpose of the qualification is

This qualification will produce much needed professionals to enter or to specialise in any of the Agricultural options.

The aim of this qualification is to consolidate and deepen what has been learned in the first qualification and to undertake advanced study in a chosen major field of study. The qualification purposefully includes Agricultural and Financial Management components as the core of the specialisation areas. It also aims to equip learners with the necessary skills to engage with the body of knowledge as well as the application of that knowledge.

- Firstly, it provides opportunities for recent graduates in the Natural Sciences without any of the specialisations as majors, but who have demonstrated potential for graduate studies by completing their first Degree with at least a C aggregate, to specialise in any of the above fields and by doing so, improve their chances of employment.

To develop advanced mathematical skills that will enable the learner to enter research or to solve problems.

1. To enable students to explore applied and applicable mathematics.

To develop and empower postgraduate learners who are going to (i) pursue a career in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, (ii) do Masters studies and research in Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences, (iii) apply Mathematics in those disciplines and areas of life that require high-level mathematical skills.

The qualification provides learners with specialised knowledge in Applied Mathematics through study in depth; to equip them with knowledge of research methodology, and the ability to solve problems communicators in spoken and written English, to both expert and non-expert audiences. and develop theory through independent work and critical thinking, by the use of appropriate theory, methods and technique from different parts of mathematics. These learners should be good.

The primary purpose of the qualification is to provide Honours Bachelor of Science (Hons BSc) graduates with the knowledge, specific skills and applied and theoretical competence in a number of Science fields to provide opportunities for continued personal intellectual growth, gainful economic activity and valuable contributions to society.

This qualification has as learning outcomes theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of matters in specific areas of the Mathematical Sciences. The student is empowered with basic applied competence in different fields of specialisation further aimed at lifelong learning through upgrading of knowledge and skills. Integrated assessment is an important part of the qualification in order to achieve the set goals.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide qualifying learners with the ability: - To develop intellectual and practical analytical skills to enable the learner to read.

The general purpose of the Bachelor of Science Honours in Applied Mathematics is to equip students with a deep theoretical body of knowledge in Applied Mathematics so as to enable Graduates to undertake professional work or progress on to further learning at Masters level. Graduates will have coherent and advanced knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts in one or more disciplines of Applied Mathematics and related research principles and methods.
