The purpose of the qualification is to produce graduates with specialist training in the branch of Virology, who may be registered at the level of specialist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
This qualification provides graduates with knowledge, skills and applied competence in Virology sufficient to allow registration with Health Professions Council of SA as a specialist Virologist.
