The aim of this programme is to provide an opportunity to students to broaden their knowledge in History within the Faculty of Arts. This provides an opportunity to read extensively, to become acquainted with some of the classic texts in the History discipline, to become involved in a conversation with its most important thinkers and to take part in these debates with confidence. The solid basis that is acquired in this way prepares the student for postgraduate research. The primary purpose of the qualification is to provide Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) graduates with systematic knowledge, specialised skills and theoretical competence focusing on or within a particular discipline or within an interdisciplinary framework to prepare them for specialist training at an advanced level.
