1. To enable students to acquire a sound mathematical basis for higher level study of abstract mathematics, such as mathematical analysis, algebra, topology or applied analysis.
To develop and empower postgraduate learners who are going to (i) pursue a career in Mathematics teaching and lecturing, (ii) do Masters studies and research in Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences, (iii) apply Mathematics in those disciplines and areas of life that require high-level mathematical skills.
