The qualification inteds to contribute, through independent research, advanced problem-solving skills and critical, reflective thinking in a chosen profession-specific area within group therapy, that will contribute to the knowledge and practice in the field of group therapy. Purpose and Rationale of the Qualification:

Many African countries are experiencing a human crisis in terms of the need for affordable housing, the provision of which, and the formulation of housing policy, is an urgent priority. In addition, these policies require that a developmental delivery process is employed in providing the houses, rather than simply providing mass housing. Developmental delivery includes community participation in decision-making, community empowerment through job creation and sustainable skills creation and other measures.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide qualifying learners with the opportunity to show evidence of independent and original scientific work; provides the learner with the opportunity to display competence in the application of related research methodology, and the proper written and/or oral communication of the research process and findings; enables the learner to reflect on the research findings and prepares the learner for doctoral studies.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to provide qualifying learners with applied competence on an advanced (executive) level in the mastering, analysis, interpretation and understanding of organisational development and Human Resources Management principles and methods. The qualification could put the learner in a position to register as Personnel Practitioner with the South African Board for Personnel Practice. It also equips the learner to work as an organizational development specialist or human resource manager at an advanced level in organisations. The qualification will further make it possible for learners to work as consultants in own businesses as well as consulting business ventures.

The qualification is intended to offer human rights from an interdisciplinary perspective, exposing participants to local, regional and global forces that have shaped and continue to influence the growth and development of human rights, areas of contestation, the institutions and processes involved, as well as problems of ensuring compliance. These attributes have wider application to the individual, work place and society.

Purpose: - To provide qualifiers with the necessary knowledge, specific skills and applied competence such that they will meet the requirements for sub specialisation in infectious disease of the College of Medicine of South Africa. This includes a minimum period of supervised experiential learning and success in the College of Medicine examination for the Certificate in Infectious Diseases. Further to provide qualifiers with the necessary foundation to conduct and present an independent research project.
