Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The institution conducts RPL in terms of the policy and guidelines of the institution to recognise other forms of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience. In cases where learners do not comply with the formal admission requirements, the institution applies its RPL policy.

Integrated Assessment
A learner shall submit a body of work (usually in the form of articles and books) for examination by the institution. Senate shall appoint three judges, at least two external to the University, all of whom shall be experts in the general field of learning in which the candidate has won distinction. The judges shall report to the senate whether the work constitutes an original contribution to the advancement of knowledge of such substance as to give the learner authoritative standing in her/his particular field of research.
