The minimum entry requirements for this qualification is

  • Master of Laws in Mercantile Law, NQF Level 9.

Or

  • Master of Laws in Mercantile and Labour Law, NQF Level 9.

  1. Demonstrate highly expert and an in-depth knowledge of Mercantile Law.
  2. Understand and apply theoretical foundations of Mercantile Law.
  3. Combine and apply the relevant knowledge, skills and values significant at a highly advanced and specialised level.
  4. Develop and present a research proposal independently.
  5. Express knowledge and generic research skills in Mercantile Law in an integrated, logical and coherent manner through written assignments.
  6. Conduct delimitation, literature searches, logical analysis, balanced interpretation, structuring and expressing, abstract thoughts in a logical and coherent way, the consistent use of a system of references.
