  • A Masters' Degree in a related discipline or equivalent qualification, Level 9.

This qualification consists of one compulsory module at Level 10 totalling 30 Credits.

Compulsory Module, Level 10

  • Dissertation, 360 Credits.

Exit level outcomes

  1. Communicate creative and original thought.
  2. Demonstrate insight and reasoning skills associated with philosophical debate.
  3. Apply sound qualitative and quantitative research methodology.
  4. Plan and conduct empirical research, accurate surveys, investigations and analyses using appropriate methods and resources.
  5. Derive, analyse and accurately interpret information from data and other sources of information.
  6. Record information from documents or other sources.
  7. Compile an appropriate research dissertations and theses.

Associated assessment criteria

Integrated Assessment

Research proposals for the thesis require approval by the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Economic Sciences prior to finalisation of a learner's registration procedures.

The study promoter/s, two or more examiners and moderators are appointed by the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Economic Sciences.

Continuous supervision and evaluation by the promoter/s of submissions leading to completion of a thesis and fulfilment of the requirements for the Degree.
