Purpose and Rational
The programme aims to provide the students with broad-based theoretical and practical knowledge of business and entrepreneurship. This qualification will equip graduates to be able to be successful in their business ventures and therefore provide job creation for the South African market.

Applicants should have completed an undergraduate Bachelors degree or its equivalent and have should have relevant work experience or running of business.

- A minimum of 128 credits are to be completed for this one year qualification.

Successful students will be able to
- Identify and solve problems in the field of Business Management, using critical and creative thinking.
- Collect, analyse, organise, and critically evaluate information of a business and financial nature.
- Communicate information relating to the field of Business Management effectively, in both oral and written forms.

Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcomes
Assessment criteria are demonstrated fulfilment of the desired outcomes (above) met through successful completion of all the components of the qualification and assessed through a range of methods including tests, assignments, seminars and formal examinations, in written and oral form. Assessment may include a short supervised project or case study.
Integrated Assessment
The written tests, examinations and reports will serve to integrate and draw together all the material covered in all the components of the qualification.
