The purpose of this research qualification is to deepen qualified learners' knowledge in particular aspects in town and regional planning and related fields through prescribed course work and to provide them with the competencies to plan, execute and write up scientific research in the urban and regional planning field.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The institution conducts RPL in terms of the policy and guidelines of the institution to recognise other forms of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience. In cases where learners do not comply with the formal admission requirements, the institution applies its RPL policy.

- Bachelor of Town and Regional Planning, NQF Level 8.

Learners will be assessed on their ability to illustrate the exit level outcomes as stated, the production of a research dissertation and an academic article for publication.

Yes, research dissertation and academic article for publication. Assessment in the qualification is based on assessment through a research essay, which aims at assessing learners' ability to plan, structure, conceptualise and execute a scientific research process and report the findings thereof. The assessment also includes an examination by internal and external examiners of core and elective courses.

The intended purpose of this Master of Accountancy is to provide the learners with a professional, vocational, and sound understanding of the general theoretical principles and their applications in the field of research accountancy.
