Master of Science in Radiography

This qualification is intended for persons who will make a contribution through independent research in a chosen field. The research problem, its justification, process and outcome is reported in a dissertation that complies with the generally accepted norms for research at that level. They will also demonstrate a high level of overall knowledge in that area, ranging from fundamental concepts to advanced theoretical or applied knowledge.

Entry Requirements

A relevant National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 8 qualification.

The qualification will be awarded to a learner who has provided satisfactory evidence that the stated competencies of the qualification, as detailed in the specified outcomes, have been achieved, either through education and training in a single provider's learning programme, or through experience that complies with the stated specified outcomes.

One

Two

A research project is successfully completed in Diagnostic Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Oncology or Ultrasound (85).

1. Gather information on the research area (10 Credits) NQF Level 8.
2. Choose appropriate theory and methods for research (10 Credits) NQF Level 8.
3. Design, perform and manage the research (10 Credits) NQF Level 8.
4. Analyse and evaluate data (20 Credits) NQF Level 8.
5. Produce a research dissertation (35 Credits) NQF Level 8.
