Purpose and rationale
The degree provides to strengthen the knowledge and background of students in terms of the use of advanced serological techniques in the diagnosis of microorganisms.
To enable students to undertake microbiological research aimed at solving problems relevant to the needs of the community.
The learner will be assigned a project and be able to identify and present solutions for a specific problem through critical and creative thinking by demonstrating proficiency in the selection and application of techniques in order to solve the problem related to microbiology.
To endow the students with adequate skills to function efficiently as a professional, to work individually or as a member of a team on a project, efficient communication, respect for others, responsibility and understanding the role of the micro-organism in health, the environment and the industry, will be instilled in the student.
To endow student with the ability to write and present scientific papers.
To endow the student with the ability to criticise, analyse and interpret scientific data.

The learner will be able to discuss and apply microbial techniques in order to produce results and come up with a solution to a relevant microbial problem.
The learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and competence within the field of microbiology.
The student will demonstrate the ability to fully characterise microorganisms and perform routine and specific microbiological tests in relation to their applications.
The learner will know how to access and process literature on a variety of microbiological topics. He/she will be able to identify microbiological problems in his/her environment and to present logical solutions to the problem.
The learners will demonstrate the ability to work effectively as an individual on a specific project assigned to him/her, as well as working with others as a team member, to function in an organised manner, to evaluate information critically and to communicate effectively.

The intended purpose of this Master of Accountancy is to provide the learners with a professional, vocational, and sound understanding of the general theoretical principles and their applications in the field of research accountancy.
