Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The institution conducts RPL in terms of the policy and guidelines of the institution to recognise other forms of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience. In cases where learners do not comply with the formal admission requirements, the institution applies its RPL policy.

- Bachelor of Science Honours in Applied Science, NQF Level 8.

Exit level outcomes
The learner will develop the prelude of his/her specialisation in a field of applied chemistry.
Depending on the specialisation, the learner will
- Understand the usage and application of advanced methods in spectroscopy,
- Use advanced analytic techniques,
- Use advanced molecular modelling of compounds,
- Apply advanced techniques in the planning and synthesis of organic, inorganic or organometallic compounds in the laboratory,
- Use and apply existing electronic or printed information to solve problems in the laboratory, pertinent to the specialisation field,
- Be able to discuss his/her research and his/her participation in solving the problems of the research during local and national conferences,
- Participate in industrial research and development.

Associated Assessment Criteria for Exit Level Outcomes
- Results of the experimental work in the laboratory will be evaluated regularly.
- Group, or on a one to one basis, discussions will be used to determine the outcome of the laboratory processes, thorough evaluation of the data accumulated with spectroscopic and analytic techniques.
- Participation in seminars and conferences.
- Written articles, reports and a thesis.
- External examiners.

The intended purpose of this Master of Accountancy is to provide the learners with a professional, vocational, and sound understanding of the general theoretical principles and their applications in the field of research accountancy.
