Graduates of the programme will
- Demonstrate understanding of Mathematics at advanced level, with particular reference to the areas of Analysis (real and Numerical) and Advanced Linear Algebra.
- Use advanced mathematical knowledge to solve problems in innovative ways, using appropriate principles, tools, including computers, and logical reasoning.
- Demonstrate understanding of the differing paradigms of enquiry and proof in Mathematics, and of their difference from the paradigms in the natural sciences; and demonstrate the ability to obtain and interpret information from the literature.
- Work effectively in a team of applied mathematicians, scientists and engineers, collaborating to solve problems, and contributing advanced mathematical skills to the process.
- Use effective oral and written modes of communication in English, with emphasis on the presentation of mathematical reasoning and data.
- Apply mathematical knowledge and skills for the betterment of the community and showing sensitivity to technological, social and environmental issues.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the world through the ability to transfer advanced mathematical knowledge across contexts and integration of knowledge and skills.

Purpose:
The intended purpose of this Master of Accountancy is to provide the learners with a professional, vocational, and sound understanding of the general theoretical principles and their applications in the field of research accountancy. The qualification will be treated according to the policies and procedures of the institution regarding master's dissertations, monitoring, and assessment of learners' progress in the qualification, provision for learners disputes regarding assessment results and Recognition of Prior Learning.
