To provide mid career managers in the private, public and voluntary sectors with specialised knowledge and skills about selected complex technical aspects of management, public project management, public financial management, public personnel management) in order to promote sustainable growth and development and maximise prosperity in all sectors of the economy and society.
To develop competent leaders in the field of Public and Development Management with specialised applied fundamental and generic cross functional technical knowledge and skills to steer sustainable development, growth and prosperity in the most appropriate direction.
To provide students who want to enroll for highly specialised doctoral level studies in Public and Development Management, with a sound academic and research base from which to do so.

First degree: An appropriate B-degree
Honours degree: BPA Hons
Additional information
First degree: A tertiary diploma or equivalent academic status (NQF level 6) plus the Advanced Diploma in Public Administration (ADPA, NQF level 7), is an alternative learning route for gaining access, under condition that the additional BPA Hons (15) dubject is also followed.
Honours degree: The Advanced Diploma in Public Administration (ADPA) is an alternative learning route for gaining access. It is also possible to gain access to the programme after other honours degree in Public and Development Management, providing that supplementary BPA Hons subjects are followed during the study term.

The intended purpose of this Master of Accountancy is to provide the learners with a professional, vocational, and sound understanding of the general theoretical principles and their applications in the field of research accountancy. The qualification will be treated according to the policies and procedures of the institution regarding master's dissertations, monitoring, and assessment of learners' progress in the qualification, provision for learners disputes regarding assessment results and Recognition of Prior Learning.
