The student will have the competence in a specific area of specialisation to manage and administer public sector functions with a view to community service delivery.

Critical cross-field outcomes

After completing the programme the graduate will be able to

  1. Identify and solve problems and make strategic and operational decisions using critical and creative thinking in the field of Public Affairs
  2. Work effectively with co-workers as members of a team, group, organisation and clients and community stakeholders.
  3. Organise and manage themselves and their functions responsibly and effectively within the set norms and standards.

The intended purpose of this Master of Accountancy is to provide the learners with a professional, vocational, and sound understanding of the general theoretical principles and their applications in the field of research accountancy. The qualification will be treated according to the policies and procedures of the institution regarding master's dissertations, monitoring, and assessment of learners' progress in the qualification, provision for learners disputes regarding assessment results and Recognition of Prior Learning.
