Purpose and rationale
Purpose
The purpose of this qualification is to obtain registration with the HPCSA as a Physiotherapist. The M Phys T (Research) is a Research Degree and candidates will have well-developed skills to initiate and perform original research under guidance. The qualification aims to provide South Africa with specialist researchers in the field of Physiotherapy in order to promote the continual development of a high level of knowledge and expertise that is internationally comparable in the field. Graduate will maintain an attitude of learning ensuring continuing self-development and development of the field.

Entry requirements and RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The institution conducts RPL in terms of the policy and guidelines of the institution to recognise other forms of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience. In cases where learners do not comply with the formal admission requirements, the institution applies its RPL policy.
Entry requirements
The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is
- Bachelor of Science Honours in Physiotherapy, Level 8.
Or
- Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy, Level 8.
Or
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Level 8, 480 Credits.

The intended purpose of this Master of Accountancy is to provide the learners with a professional, vocational, and sound understanding of the general theoretical principles and their applications in the field of research accountancy. The qualification will be treated according to the policies and procedures of the institution regarding master's dissertations, monitoring, and assessment of learners' progress in the qualification, provision for learners disputes regarding assessment results and Recognition of Prior Learning.
