The purpose of this qualification is to produce highly qualified researchers and scholars who can use their skills and knowledge to contribute to the national and international advancement of the humanities. Learners completing this qualification will be capable of undertaking all aspects of research and will be able to continue with further postgraduate study.
Entry requirements and RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The institution conducts RPL in terms of the policy and guidelines of the institution to recognise other forms of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience. In cases where learners do not comply with the formal admission requirements, the institution applies its RPL policy.

Associated assessment criteria
Integrated Assessment
Assessment criteria are demonstrated fulfilment of the desired outcomes (above) met through successful completion of course-work modules (assessed through a range of methods including tests, assignments and formal assessments, in written and a supervised short research project demonstrating familiarity with appropriate research methods assessed through a research report/dissertation). The research project, dissertation and written examinations assessments serve collectively to fulfil the integrated assessment requirement.

The intended purpose of this Master of Accountancy is to provide the learners with a professional, vocational, and sound understanding of the general theoretical principles and their applications in the field of research accountancy. The qualification will be treated according to the policies and procedures of the institution regarding master's dissertations, monitoring, and assessment of learners' progress in the qualification, provision for learners disputes regarding assessment results and Recognition of Prior Learning.
