Entry requirements and RPL

Recognition of Prior learning (RPL)

Access may be granted, through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), to learners who do not meet the minimum entry requirements.

Entry Requirements

  • A qualification in Tourism Management, Level 5.
  • National Senior Certificate, Level 4 granting access to Diploma studies Senior Certificate, Level 4 with Matriculation exemption.
  • Senior Certificate, Level 4 with Matriculation Exemption.
  • National Certificate Vocation, Level 4 with a relevant specialisation, granting access to Diploma studies.

  1. Become actively involved in the management of timber processing operations through a demonstrated ability and appropriate knowledge of the timber processing industry.
  2. Demonstrate appropriate basic technical and operational technical skills of the timber processing industry.
  3. Demonstrate appropriate basic industry-related computational, managerial, financial and operational knowledge and skills.
  4. Demonstrate appropriate technical knowledge and understanding of the tools, equipment and processes used in the timber processing industry.
