Purpose
- The purpose of this qualification is to develop managerial, research and problem solving skills in diagnostic radiography.
- The qualification aims to provide South Africa with specialist radiographers in the field of total quality management.
- Learners will have specialised technical competencies, management and research skills in the field of radiography.
- An attitude of lifelong learning will be fostered, ensuring continuing self-development and development in this field.
- The purpose of this qualification is to register an additional qualification with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
Entry requirements and RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The institution conducts RPL in terms of the policy and guidelines of the institution to recognise other forms of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience. In cases where learners do not comply with the formal admission requirements, the institution applies its RPL policy.

The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is
Bachelor of Radiography, NQF Level 7.
Advanced Diploma in Radiography in Diagnostics, NQF Level 7.
