Purpose and rationale
- To give learners an option to major in Financial Management at undergraduate level and to teach them the concepts and techniques used in business financing, dividends and investment decisions.
- To teach learners how to analyse and interpret business financial statements for various uses.
- To apply the knowledge and skills gained to solve practical financial business management problems.
- To prepare Learners in problem- solving approach in their learning and to inculcate in them the sense of responsibility towards their prospective workplace and the community at large.

Entry requirements
The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is
- National Senior Certificate, NQF Level 4, granting access to Bachelor studies.

- Ability to apply skills learned in business financing and investment decisions and to communicate freely with the business community.
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements for different purposes.
