- To introduce candidates to the activities which constitute administration.
- To equip candidates with skills which will enable them to perform their duties effectively;
- To enable public officials to interpret governmental policies with a view of effective implementation of the same;
- To instil in candidates ethical skills for effective service rendering;
- To be able to build future public managers.

Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirement for this qualification is
- National Senior Certificate, NQF Level 4, granting access to Bachelor studies.
