Qualification rules
This qualification consists of the following compulsory and elective modules at National Qualifications Framework Level 6 totalling 360 Credits.
Exit level outcomes
- Interpret and utilise the available comprehensive health services within the community.
- Provide selective primary health care services to the community utilising a scientific approach.
- Interpret and identify with the role of the community health nurse in community development, based on scientifically determined community needs.
- Interpret and identify with the role of a community health nurse in an occupational health service.
- Render a family planning service to a community.
6 Interpret and identify with the role of the community nurse in a genetic service.
- Plan community-based rehabilitation programmes to promote the health of people with disabilities.
- Interpret and discuss the influence of cultural diversity on health and illness.
- Describe and evaluate the planning and management of a comprehensive health care service.
10.Demonstrate the ability to conduct epidemiological research.
