Bachelor of Medical Science Honours in Haematology

Apply educational knowledge, skills, principles and methods to conduct professional research in any haematology, molecular biology or immunology laboratory. They will also be able to take part in routine diagnostic testing.

THE LEARNER WILL BE CAPABLE OF

• Carrying out routine and more complex diagnostic testing in a haematology or immunology laboratory;
• A critical understanding and application of the scientific principles of good laboratory practice and quality control;

Carrying out research projects under guidance of a professional medical researcher;

• Writing research reports;
• Communicating in, and understanding, medical scientific, laboratory and basic statistical terminology, in Haematology and Immunology;
• Understanding basic medical research methods applying these methods.
