- Identify, analyse and formulate the intricacies of economic and policy analyses, and use them toward solving specific economic problems faced by an economic system.
- Link economics with other branches of knowledge in an inter-disciplinary manner. The learners will thus be expected to have organisational skills to work individually and as part of a team.
- Collect and analyse the necessary information in a coherent manner to do a proper analysis.
- Communicate the findings of research intelligently and in a coherent manner.
- Be able to further their studies at institutions of higher learning in South Africa and abroad.
