Purpose and rationale
To provide learners in possession of a Bachelor of Commerce degree with advanced knowledge and skills about various technical aspects of management sciences in order to promote sustainable growth and development and maximise prosperity in all sectors of the economy and society.
To develop competent leaders in the management sciences with advanced applied fundamental and generic cross-functional technical knowledge and skills to steer sustainable development, growth and prosperity in the most appropriate direction.
To provide students who want to enrol for more specialised studies in these disciplines, with a sound academic and research base from which to do so.

- Read, interpret and apply advanced and more technical management related literature and teach oneself from source material.
- Show an advanced understanding of the use of scientific approaches and research methods in the acquisition of scientific management related knowledge (e.g. the importance of using advanced and more complex research methodologies).
- Identify and solve complex management problems in a critical and creative way.
- Work effectively with others as a member of a senior management team in the private, developmental and public sectors.
- Organise and manage oneself and one's personal activities responsibly and effectively.

Integrated Assessment
- Integrated Assessment takes place by way of a variety of procedures including practically orientated cross-disciplinary individual and group assignments, simulations, workplace assessments, written and oral presentations, tests and examinations.
