The qualification will
- Provide qualifiers with problem-solving skills to promote management, governance and policy-making that is accountable, ethical, equitable and sustainable.
- Provide South Africa with significant numbers of (honours) graduates in management and governance in order to ensure that the local leadership base of innovative and knowledge-based economic and scholarly activity is widened.
Entry requirements and RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
The institution conducts RPL in terms of the policy and guidelines of the institution to recognise other forms of formal, informal and non-formal learning and experience. In cases where learners do not comply with the formal admission requirements, the institution applies its RPL policy.

- Solve industrial Psychology and public sector problems systematically and creatively through problem identification and analysis.
- Manage industrial Psychology resources and processes in a public context by demonstrating a sound understanding.
- Articulate and promote one's ideas and interests via effective oral and written communications.
- Demonstrate the contribution to Government by sound policy developing competencies by producing sample policies.
Integrated Assessment
The institution has adopted a Continuous Assessment System. The assessment consists of several assessment events administered throughout the year and a variety of assessment instruments are used (for example, tests, essays and practical reports, project reports).
